Nail-art: nail It! with bloop Nail Strips

Haven't had time to go for manicure to get your CNY nails? I know I haven't. Plus, manicures cost a bomb to do! >< So I'm going to introduce you to these nail strips by bloop! Thanks to HiShop x bloop's Facebook mini contest last month, I've won myself these nail it! with bloop nail strips but haven't had the time nor occassion to try them out. Now's the perfect time to put it on since CNY is in 3 days!

Why nail it! with bloop?
 No drying time
Super thin and realistic on nail
 Fast & easy to use
 Made with environmental-friendly material
 No chemical and alcohol content
Allows air to penetrate through nails
A sheer protection to stop nail from breaking
 Pretty and stylish designs

Sounds too good to be true? Wait till you see how easy it is to apply it! First, let's look at the packaging.

Simple, lightweight and easy to carry around.

They gave me such a pretty, girly design! It's like they read my mind, these are perfect for CNY and my birthday! :p There are 12 strips altogether, so if you make a mistake for one, there'll be extras.

A tiny nail file! For filing off the excess nail strip.

How to use nail it! with bloop nail strips:

Step 1: Make sure your nails are clean and dry before using nail it!.

Step 2: Choose the best strip size for each of your nails.

Don't laugh but, my nails are so tiny, it's hard to find the suitable size :/

Step 3: Remove the transparent protective plastic layer.

Step 4: Align and place the nail strip on to the nail. The rounded ends should be facing the cuticle.

Step 5: Rub the strip with your finger over the nail, starting from the center and working it out towards the sides. Be gentle when doing this to avoid any bubbles forming on the strip.

Step 6: Press the excess nail strip across the edges of the nail. Be careful when you're doing this so as not to tear the strip.

Step 7: Cut off the excess nail strip to make filing easier.

Step 8: Using the nail file, file off the exces strip in a downward motion.

Step 9: Rub the strip again to move any excess bubbles.

Step 10: Apply a transparent top coat in order to make the strips stay in place, last longer and to provide extra shine,

This is how the finished product looks like. :D It is a little messy, but I'm sure with practice, your nail strips will fit perfectly.

Tadaa! Pretty in pink! The nail strips are really easy to apply and feels just like nail polish on your nails. Definitely feels a lot more natural than using fake nails or nail jewels.. And they're so easy to use, just 20 minutes is all you need to get salon-perfect manicure like this, for only RM12.90! And you don't even need to wait for your manicure to dry! Guess what, they even have toe-strips for easy pedicure hehe. Removing the strips is really simple too. Just remove the top coat with nail polish remover, dip your hands in warm water for 5-10 minutes and peel off the strips!

The downside is that my nails are too small (ok that's not the strip's fault..) so it's hard to find a size that fits. In fact, I had to trim some of the sides off just so it'll fit my nail. But the good thing is I can reuse one strip twice. lol! XD
Also, I find that the glitter design is on the straight edge, not the rounded ones so it's a bit wasteful if we were to file that part off.. Unless you can reuse the strip on two nails like me! Heh.

So, if you're pressed for time this New Year but still want pretty nails nonetheless, why not try these fuss-free, affordable and fast alternative?
Speaking of which, here's wishing all of you a very Happy Chinese New Year in advance and may the Year of the Horse be filled with energy, love and prosperity! :)
