Happy Friday! I apologise for the lack of updates, I have been super busy now that classes are starting soon! And when the stress hits, all you long for is a day all to yourself, filled with pampering and relaxation... And what better way to do that than with a mani-pedi session?
I recently visited beeQnails Salon at SS2 with a girl friend, Sydney. It was just days before my final exams, but I thought heck, I NEED this to motivate myself to study better *excuses* XD Also, it's my very first time going for a manicure. I used to love doing nail art in college, but I'm too busy to now.. Thank you Sydney for accompanying and fetching me there! We had a little trouble looking for the place, but once we spotted it, we couldn't take our eyes off the shop!
beeQnails is pretty easy to spot. It's located the same row as some bridal shops and is pretty hard to miss with its pretty pastel colour and dripping nail polish decal!
Once you step into the shop, you'll be greeted by a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. I just know I'm going to enjoy my few hours of pampering there!
beeQnails is a partner salon of O.P.Q, the World Leader in Professional Nail Care. They provide high standard service procedures using quality O.P.I products in every step of your manicure process. All their manicurist have undergone professional training with O.P.I Academy Malaysia and are welll-equipped to provide you the best mani experience ever!
Most of the nail art designs are inspired by Japanese magaxines Nail Up, Nail Venus and Nail Max which are imported from Japan.
So many nail polishes, enough to make any girl swoon.
beeQnails sells various OPI products ranging from nail polishes, nail art decorations and nail care products as well.
The pedicure area. Sydney and I actually brought our lunch with us and Melissa, the owner, actually offered to place our food on a plate so that we can eat it easily. Aww, beeQnails provides top-notch service and are really enthusiastic in pleasing their customers :D
We had the exclusive Avoplex Rejuvenating Treatment with basic Avojuice skin quenchers, priced at RM89, done for our spa and pedicure session that day. Again, all the products used are strictly by O.P.I and this range was made of chamomile and mint.
The treatment included a natural sugar scrub to reduce callus and dry skin, mask to hydrate the skin and a foot massage using a blend of botanical and antioxidant vitamins and emollients to provide a non-greasy spa experience with this lightweight moisturiser. The staff are very gentle and friendly, they do like to chat with you when you're having the spa treatment done. It's a bit ticklish but totally fun at the same time to have your feet pampered for once! My feet are the most neglected part of the body and after all the shaping, cuticle detailing and polishing, it's time to put on some colours on my toenails!
Too many colours to choose from, I cannot make up my mind. I think my manicurist, Kate, found it amusing watching me decide what colour to take haha. Best part is, they're all O.P.I colours of high quality and super interesting names that I really just wanna paint a different colour for each nail..
Finally decided on "The Impossible", which is a gorgeous sparkly red with starry glitters in it, from the O.P.I Sands series.
Time for nails! I really love the relaxing surroundings, there's even a huge TV for us to watch movies of our choice while getting our nails done. Btw, you guys should totally go watch 'What To Expect When You're Expecting', Sydney and I totally enjoyed it XD
After choosing the colours and design I wanted, Kate cut and shaped my nails before proceeding to do the gellish nails. Using the latest technology, GelColor by O.P.I are shine-intense, cures in 30 seconds that you can get a set done in just 4 minutes, and last for up to 2 weeks! FYI, the difference between normal nail colours and gel nails is that you have to cure the colour under the LED light for it to dry.
Kate really listens to what kind of design I'm looking for, and even took out a notebook to sketch my ideal nails for me. At the same time, she also gave suggestions to plan my perfect nail art, cos I had too many ideas going on lol!
After the manicure, it was time to get spa treatment done for my hands too! We did the O.P.I Age-Defying Spa Manicure, priced at RM88, to get younger looking hands. Love the products they used, it smelled super citrusy and refreshing.
The four-step process exfoliates, revitalises, renews and protects the hands. My hands never felt so soft in my life!
Tadaa! Ain't my nails pretty? I wanted something sweet and cheerful to lift my spirits for exams. I call these, "Pastel Chanel" hahaha :D Love the Chanel embellishment! The colour totally stayed on for about 3 weeks and the glue used is so strong that the embellishments just would not come off! Btw, gel nails are priced at RM50 and if you want nail art designs and accessories added, they are priced between RM20 and RM100.
Thank you Melissa too for the gifts! I used the lacquer remover to remove my nails and unlike normal gel nail removal process, this one doesn't make my nails brittle and shine-free. I also love the hand creams, it's the perfect pick-me-up whenever I feel like getting some pampering done at home :)
From the bottom of my heart, I really enjoyed my pampering session at beeQnails! It's my first time and they have already set the bar so high, I'm pretty sure I'll be going back for more ;) The staff are all so friendly and chatty and you just feel so at ease with them. Not to mention, they really prioritise in making the customers' service experience an enjoyable one. When my phone battery died, Kate even offered to charge my phone for me. So sweet right! I also love how professional and creative they are in designing your nails. Remember to check out their Instagram for more nail-art designs! I also like that they actually care enough to take note of each customers' names and lives enough to greet and wish them on each photo/ nail-art design :)
