Care United JB is turning 10 years old! That means hundreds and thousands of donations and volunteers in helping children over this decade. Care United Johor Bahru is one of the most pro-active charity organisations in Johor Bahru since August 2005. What started out as 18 friends helping others has now become a full-fledged charity organisations run by 27 members from all walks of life. Their logo stands for comradery, unity, commitment to the underpriviledged and respect for the rights of others.
Care United aims to HELP the needy to SURVIVE. Their pledge is to focus on the underpriviledged in the community and to assist in charitable undertakings while being an example to building a more united and socially-aware society. Actions speak louder than words and Care United believes that education is the way to break out of poverty. To date, they have organised various social, recreational and welfare events such as Children's Merdeka Party, Back-to-School Programmes, Golden Years Celebration and many more. These have thus helped them to achieve their objective of fostering unity and friendship amongst Malaysians, to obtain land or collect donations for further aims of the club and to assist in charitable undertakings for the community at large.
How are they different? They are unique in the sense that all their beneficiaries are based on 1Malaysia principle, regardless of race or religion and that all donations goes to the needy instead of being used as the club's administration costs. They also have tax-exemption status which means for donations of RM50 and above, you'll be entitiled for tax exemption.
To celebrate 10 awesome years, Care United JB is organising a charity dinner themed Masquerage Royale Ball cum Beauty Pageant 2014! It will be held on 9th August 2014 from 6.30pm at Persada Johor International Convention Centre. For one night only, be dazzled by gorgeous gowns & suits and be entertained by Jo Kukathas! Tickets are priced at RM1,800 to RM10,000 per table. Do contact the person-in-charge, Diva for more information!
Should you wish to sponsor or donate to the event, you are strongly encouraged to do so. No matter the amount, YOU can make a difference. Your donation will be used to get supplies for the children and fund for the education of the underpriviledged. Donations are not only in the form of cash, but in the form of stationaries, canned food and clothes. Show that you CARE with Care United JB!

HI, Good to see your blog. I work as Charity lead with NGO called International Women's Association and I'd like to organize a fund raising to support few charities. A beauty pageant is a great idea but since I am not a local, I would need help and hence contacted you. Let me know if you are keen to work with me.
