It's important for me to do a face mask at least twice a week because I have extremely sensitive and dry skin, so a mask is an instant booster to hydrated and brighter skin for me. I was recently introduced to Bidanpo Mediantal and was lucky enough to get to review this Bidanpo Mediantal Botanic Garden Mask in Lemon.
It's been awhile since I've posted about this pink box, huh? A little backstory about Bidanpo Mediantal. It is a Korean Brand that uses oriental medicine skin science. It is famous for its Healing Mask using the technology "Hana Green Oriental Medical Clinic" made fro skin specialists of Kyung-Hee University.
My first thought when I found out that the mask was infused with lemon goodness was.. Isn't lemon acidic, won't it hurt my skin? Hahaha. But I also know that lemon is known for its brightening properties, which is why I'm excited to try it out. The mask is made from fresh citrus medica limonum (lemon) fruit extract and citrus aurantfolia (lime) fruit extract which transports vitamins to give you clear and pure skin.
Check out the designs on the mask sheet! The natural cellulose tencel sheets are highly dermotrophic and can be fixed easily onto the skin. It is helpful for intensive skincare and helps to deliver the effects of enriched-essence softly and efficiently.
Um, I hardly ever do reviews in my pyjamas and auntie hair but this is an exception. :p Bare skin before using the mask. I have lots of spots and pimples on my forehead due to stress and staying up late.
After cleansing and toning the face, take the mask out of the package, unfold and place it on your skin. Let is rest comfortably for 15-20 minutes. Not more than that, it will start drawing water out of your skin!
Remove the mask and let the skin absorb the remaining essence by gently patting the mask on your face. I also like to use it on my neck and limbs so that the goodness is not wasted.
I don't think you can see it on camera because the results were not very obvious. It didn't do much to clear my pimples and spots but of course, this isn't a miracle mask and I'm sure the effects will be more prominent with frequent use. The mask did however brighten my skin. I didn't even need to turn on the beauty feature on my camera for this shot and I think my forehead looks reasonably clear? There is a subtle hint of fresh lemon smell which I adore, because I love all things citrusy. After the essence has absorbed into the skin, I'm sad to say that the mask does leave a sticky feeling on my skin which I dislike. Apart from that, this is a pretty good and reasonably priced mask for frequent use.
The mask is priced at RM 4.50 per piece and you can find it at HiShop HERE.
You can find more Bidanpo Mediantal products HERE. There are so many other flavours in the Botanic Garden Mask range that I'm excited to try!
