If you follow me on Instagram (@carerynn), the answer is there. I'm wearing coloured contact lens (outdoors) for the first time. I've tried other colour lenses in the past and they either make me look like Ju-On with ridiculously big irises or the colour looks too unnatural and I'll look pale. When I was informed of miacare CONFiDENCE, I was doubtful on how the lenses will turn out. I'm glad I gave it a try because I love them! This is the first pair of coloured lenses I've tried that actually suits me and I can't wait to share about it with you all!

Introducing miacare CONFiDENCE, the world's first silicone hydrogel color circle contact lens in Malaysia. The miacare brand promises to promote healthy eyes and has thus won the 2014 Taiwan Excellence Award for the miacare SiHy 1-day daily disposable contact lenses. Not many know this, but miacare was developed by Taiwan-based optical materials manufacturer, BenQ Materials Corporation. BenQ Materials was established in 1998 and has thus became a leading name in the material science field. They are also known as the World's No. 4 polarizer manufacturer in optical film, porous membrane and healthcare products.

The miacare CONFiDENCE lenses are developed to enhance the natural beauty of the eyes while promoting exceptional comfort, similar to a contact-lens free experience. 

What's so unique about these lenses?

♥ EautraSil™ Hydrophilic Silicone Technology - has an oxygen transmissibility level exceeding eye health standards with Dk/t 150 that allows SIX times more oxygen for better breathability, all-day comfort and long term eye health.

One box of miacare CONFiDENCE contains 10 lenses, which is 5 pairs. All miacare lenses are available in different power ranges to correct near-sightedness. If I'm not mistaken, they currently do not provide correctness for astigmatism though. Let's hope they will introduce it in the future :) The lenses are also packaged in a gentle, non-irritating pH7.2 solution which is neutral and similar to human tears to maintain the natural state of the eyes.

Developed with Asian contact lens wearers in mind, the outer pattern of the miacare CONFiDENCE lenses are extremely natural looking, with subtle lines imitating the natural pattern of your irises. The lenses have a diameter of 13.2mm for a large, unobscured optical area to bring out the natural beauty of the eyes without looking fake. Furthermore, miacare CONFiDENCE has a unique colour blocking technology for total fade resistance meaning that it employs an ultra-precise tri-layer printing technique to keep the pigmented layer in the centre and completely isolated from the eyes for better protection and safety.

Because the objective is to enhance the natural beauty of Asian eyes, these circle colour lenses are available in two colours - black and brown. Black coloured lenses give a stunningly dark and mysterious look while the brown lenses give off a certain warmness and softness for dreamy eyes. 

As you can see, the lenses are extremely thin and flexible. The curve design enables the lenses to stay precisely where they should be and is unaffected by eye movements for a consistent, flawless look.

My eyes before and after putting on the miacare CONFiDENCE lenses, with no eye-makeup whatsoever. They are noticeably larger and brighter after wearing the lenses.

How does the lenses look with eye-makeup on? Previously, I went for a makeover session and you can obviously see the change! Without makeup, I look dull but the eyes are still quite pretty. After putting on (quite heavy) eye-makeup, the lenses look more natural. My eyes appear brighter and more awake!

miacare CONFiDENCE makes me feel extra happy and pretty. :p It's the perfect tool to complete my makeup look! Sometimes when I'm feeling lazy, I'll just pop the lenses on and not use any eye-makeup as the lenses make me look less tired. Without makeup, it gives a dewy-eyed, innocent look but is totally transformed into alluring eyes with eye-makeup on. What's more, the lenses are super comfortable and lightweight, I even forget I'm wearing them sometimes. Other coloured lenses that I've tried usually obstruct my vision because of the colour rim at the sides and it really bugs me. However, that is not the case with miacare CONFiDENCE lenses. I have to say, I'm really pleased with these!
