Carinn x OOTD: Red & Pink Hues ft. LoveBag LoveBag

Chinese New Year is just around the corner, so close, you could almost see it. But before that, there is another excitement buzzing and you can feel that Love is in the air! Yes, it's Valentine's Day tomorrow and if you've no idea what to wear, here's my outfit (from my birthday, nonetheless), that hopefully might inspire you?

They say red is a romantic colour. Indeed, it is royally rouge. There is a theme going on here, if you noticed. During these festivities,  be it Valentines' Day or CNY, the key is to be comfortable and I really wanted something fuss-free yet beautiful at the same time. What better approach than wearing a one-piece? Jumpsuits are in-trend right now and so are these Zara-inspired origami skorts that are basically pants that are cut to look like skirts on the outside. I've wanted to own a jumpsuit and skorts for the longest time but sadly, most sold on the market are too big for me either around the waist or thigh area. Imagine my happiness when I found this from Le'Mole Couture during the previous Fashion Salad Flea Market by Dreamscape! It's a perfect fit and flatters you in the right places *wink. Try to find one that cuts in at the neck and waist for the illusion of a slimmer body.

I wanted to save it for a special occassion before using it so I guess my birthday was special enough? The pink is so bright and vivid that it'll make heads turn, plus it shows off your loving and girly side to your date. ;) The reason I didn't accessorise much is because I felt that the colours were loud enough already. Just a simple, classic gold belt, floral watch and pink floral wedges can complete the look. Donning yourself in such bright colours is definitely a crowd pleaser!
