New Domain & FB Page is LIVE! + Giveaway

Yes, you've heard it right. After 3 years of blogging, I've finally decided to get my own domain! www.extraordinarinn.com is now LIVE :)

Actually, if you asked me why did I hesitate for so long before deciding to get a proper dotcom for my blog, I guess I'd say it's because I have no confidence in my blog yet. I didn't think I'd have that much impact to label this as a website. But my dear readers, you have proved me wrong. Even though updates are slow nowadays, you still stuck by me and enquired why I've been quite inactive lately. My blogger friends are also my source of encouragement. They'll scold me whenever I doubt my abilities, doubt my views, doubt myself. I've had to learn the hard way that you should never look down on yourself, and others will not look down on you. Honestly, I wanted to get a domain earlier (during my Blogiversary last month), but I got so tied up with work that I overlooked it.

I don't think I've said this before but if you asked me why did I choose the name 'extraordinarinn', I guess it's because it's fun being me. It's uncommon. I want to stand out from the rest, which isn't something easy to do when you're a tiny girl like me. But it's like they say, big things come in small packages ;) I did consider changing to a simpler domain name as I've been told by a few people that it's not easy to spell my blog name, but I also know that many readers have gotten accustomed to this name, so I ultimately decided to keep with it.

3 years seemed like the right time to get a domain, it also seemed like a right time to finally start a Facebook page for my blog! Since I've already taken this step, why not take one more further, right?My Facebook page will serve as a platform to share useful information, latest reviews and um, an occasional selfie or two? :p I find myself annoying sometimes too, spamming blog links that only reaches a limited audience so I'm hoping a proper Facebook page will seem more professional. Perhaps you'd like to drop me a 'Like' to stay updated? :p

If you haven't already noticed, I've also gotten the 'full package' and went with a complete blog makeover! No more messy layout! I was getting pretty damn sick of the ugly old layout too, tbh XD Big thanks to Kharnyee for designing & customising my blog layout according to my whims & fancy. I'm not an easy client to deal with, honestly. Even I wanna slap myself sometimes for being fickle-minded XD Thanks for all the nights staying up, for changing the header & layout countless times (and reverting back when I change my mind) and for doing little additional HTML stuff for me because I am an IT noob. I've picked up a thing or two along the way and the best part is, I made a new friend :) I was hitting a rut already, and I somehow feel more motivated to blog nowadays with the new layout, which is a good thing :p Hope you guys like the new layout! I wanted to go for something clean yet fun. Still some work-in-progress to be done, please be patient as I find time to tie up the loose ends!
