Which girl doesn't love beauty products? Before buying something, I'm sure most of us would check the Internet for reviews, especially so for expensive products to make sure we're getting our money's worth. Well, what if I told you that locally, there is a platform for you to check all sorts of reviews from bloggers and non-bloggers alike to aid you before making your purchase decision?
Thank you Muffin.my for inviting me to be a part of your beauty community! As a little token of appreciation, I was sent this lovely Muffin Beauty Box (ok, bag) to try out and review so I'll get a hint at how the website works.
Muffin Beauty is Malaysia's largest beauty review community. Before this, Muffin allowed you to Review, Redeem & Reward but as of today, a new program known as Muffin Beauty Club is introduced. Muffin Beauty Club is for beauty enthusiasts and bloggers to share beauty reviews and connect with each other. Everyone and anyone can share info and give honest, unbiased feedback on a beauty product. Reviews not only help you to save time and money before buying something, it also allows confidence and trust to be built between users and brands. Muffin Beauties can enjoy benefits such as free product to try out, beauty vouchers & shopping coupons, exclusive invites to events and MORE! Just write a minimum of 10 reviews on the website and you are ready to start earning!
I've seen other's beauty boxes that are totally awesome! But I think mine's pretty great too :D Muffin always hosts giveaways too to give out these awesome products. Inside the Beauty Bag are 4 full-sized products and 3 samples (in pairs).
Samples
First off, the samples. I've got the Albatross Powder Sun sunblock satchet which has SPF41/PA++ for ultimate sun protection.
Albatross Color Control (CC) Waterful CC Cream to correct your skintone.
This is the Ginkgo Natural Foam Cleansing Cream. It's a cleanser and I think it's great to bring along on travels!
IQueen Wrapping Mask EX
The things I've actually tried out already from the Beauty Bag are the full-sized products. First up is this IQueen Wrapping Mask EX which is one of the most interesting masks I've ever used. It comes in two parts - the serum and sheet mask which you soak in the serum manually before placing it on your face (unlike traditional masks which are already pre-soaked in serum). There are 5 masks in a box which I guess will last me quite awhile. The masks are mainly for anti-wrinkle, pore tightening and brightening the skin. I found that the brightening effect works really well, but it can be a little too drying for my skin. Well, since I've already reviewed the products on Muffin Beauty's website, I'll not go too much into detail here. Go read my review HERE!
Mustela PhysiObebe
At first I found it odd, what is this little blue bottle? Then I got even more confused when I found out that it is mainly used for babies?? Obviously I had no babies at home for me to try the Mustela PhysiObebe on but after reading the other reviews on Muffin.my, I found out that you can actually use this gentle cleansing solution (usually used for babies.. bottoms HAHA) as a makeup remover! Can you believe that?? It's really gentle, definitely and it does get the job done. It removed my regular makeup quite effectively, but not the waterproof ones. I can't get over how it smells like baby powder though >< Read the full review HERE.
Neesya Lumi Brightening Night Rejuvenator
This is a local brand! I've heard so much about Neesya Lumi from my other blogger friends, but yet to try it out for myself. Thankfully, Muffin.my included this little goodness in my beauty box and it's one of the products I was most excited to try out! It's the Neesya Lumi Brightening Night Rejuvenator and it acts as a moisturiser + serum to deeply hydrate, rejuvenate and illuminate skin while you're sleeping. I found that after one week of using this, my skin has become brighter and smoother for sure! Would continue using to see if there's more promising results. Review HERE.
Silkygirl Matte Fever Lipcolor Balm
The last item is this Silkygirl Matte Fever Lipcolor Balm in #05 Passion. It is sort of a fuchsia colour, with a plum undertone. Lipsticks are now so yesterday. Now most brands are coming up with new & innovative lip products to satisfy lip junkies like me and coloured lip balm sticks are the way to go. This Matte Fever Lipcolor Balm acts as both a lipbalm and a lipstick. It is moisturising, pigmented and lasts a good 4 hours or so without eating or drinking. Best part is, it's really affordable! You can read more about it HERE.
So there you have it, my short review on all the lovelies I received from the Muffin Beauty Box.
