I recently read somewhere that all the anti-aging products you find on the market are just gimmicks because the best anti-aging tool is... Sunscreen! Even when you're indoors, you should use sunscreen because even UVA rays from your computer screen can cause premature aging (omg)! Well, the all-new Snail White Sunscreen with PA+ SPF50+++++ offers 10 hours long sun protection and promises to be the 'First Step to Delay Aging'. Let's try it out, shall we?
The article also mentioned that there are differences between sunblock and sunscreen. Essentially, sunblock can be both physical or chemical and leaves a white cast when you apply it, usually for the body. Sunscreen acts more as a base and doesn't usually leave a white cast, which is why it suits to be used on your face before applying makeup. Did you know that UVA (A = aging) rays causes wrinkles & fine lines while UVB (B = burning) can damage and burn the skin? This is why it is important for your sunscreen to have UVA/UVB shield as well.
Snail White Sunscreen is a lightweight daily facial protection cream from the sun and harsh external environment, with UVA/ UVB PA+ SPF50+++++ (so many pluses!) that offers long-hour protection while regenerating the skin at the same time. It is generally suitable to be used by all skin-types. One bottle can last you for up to 2 - 3 months. What's unique about this sunscreen is that it contains what Snail White is famed for - Snail secretion filtrate which helps to repair and regenerate cells! It also has Univul A Plus granular & Tinasorb S, Edelweiss for anti-aging and VCIP to fight against aging & UV damage, lighten pigmentation spots, brightening, smoothing & luminosity. Snail White is a famous brand from Thailand which is famous for their Snail Secretion Filtrate Moisture Cream. I swear, I kept seeing this brand everywhere when I was in Phuket! To check for the authenticity of Snail White items, don't forget to look out for the shiny seal on the packaging! You can never be too careful with so many fakes out there nowadays.
The sunscreen is an off-white, slightly yellowish cream which seems quite thick at first, due to the snail secretion filtrate. However, it is quite easy to blend and doesn't leave a white cast on the skin. My only gripe is that it does feel sticky for a while after application and has the typical sunblock smell (you know what I'm talking about right?) that I dislike. I guess I'm too used to my normal sunscreen which smells florally already.
After cleansing your face and applying moisturiser, simply apply the sunscreen before putting on your makeup.
I like that it comes with a pump for easy dispense of the sunblock, and also makes it easier to control the amount of product you wish to use. Overall, the Snail White Sunscreen is great for outdoor use, especially if you're into intense sports, because of the high SPF value. For me, SPF30++ is enough for normal days already so this sunscreen is reserved for days when I'm actually out in the sun more. So far besides the smell, I've yet to experience any problems with this sunscreen as it is compatible with my makeup as well.
What I like:
- High SPF value, great for sun-protection & outdoor activities
- Doesn't leave a white cast
- Comes with a pump for easier use, not like conventional sunscreen
- Compatible as a makeup base
What I don't:
- The smell
- A little bit sticky after application
- Not much brightening effect
- Easy to blend considering that it has quite a thick consistency, but can be better
