Hair: L'Oreal Hair Moisture Retention Treatment + Hair Colour Touchup @ The Muse Hair Studio [Part 2]

New hair colour within a month? Yes, cos I'm yolo like that.. Just kidding. Unfortunately, some of you may have noticed that my balayage lavendar purple hair faded rather quickly. It left me with blonde/ copper hair and I wasn't really pleased with it, so I headed back to The Muse Hair Studio for a quick touch-up!

Back in the same place where I got my hair pre-lightened and dyed ombre previously.. If you haven't read about my sweet but short-lived purple hair experience, you can find it HERE!

This is how my hair looks like after 2 weeks. I've had friends who have had experience bleaching their hair and they texted me saying that my hair colour should not fade so fast. I need to add a disclaimer though: I did not use colour care shampoo after dyeing because I have oily-prone scalp and colour care shampoo will only leave my hair looking greasy and streaky.

So I'm not sure if its due to my complacency or what, but within one week, my hair started to look pinkish but I could still accept it. However, in the 2nd week, the colour had completely faded to a brown, copper colour. Admittedly, I was a bit frustrated because this colour made me look messy. As you can see, the colour did not really fade out evenly, you can still see some purple streaks especially on the inside of my hair. Lol. The good news is, my hair still wasn't as dry and tangled as I expected it to be after bleaching. The hairstylist Ken told me that this is the first time he's seen anyone's hair fade so fast even with bleaching ><

This time, I chose a darker purple instead of the previous colour because I was worried that the colour might fade again. The touch-up was fairly quick, about 1 hour only. After that, I got my hair washed and at the same time, Ken did a hair treatment for me. It's called the L'Oreal Hair Moisture Retention Treatment and its priced at about RM180 for my hair length. The main purpose of the treatment is to lock in moisture and seal in the hair colour longer. Usually, you'll have to use a hair steamer to seal in the product but according to Ken, my hair roots were already "opened" during the dyeing process so he'll just need to apply the treatment product and let it sit in for about 20 minutes.

Already felt excited to see the end product when Ken was blow-drying my hair. It's still a lovely purple shade, but more reddish this time. 

Tadaa! I requested not to have my hair curled this time round. Really satisfied with how healthy and smooth my hair looks after the treatment! Plus, this colour definitely makes my hair look healthier, don't you think? It's a more elegant and work-appropriate shade so if you wanna try something other than brown, I'd recommend this type of colour (sorry, I forgot what it's called..) You can still see a slight ombre effect. Indoors, my hair looks pretty tame and regular, but outdoors...

...the colour is more obvious indeed. Love how it looks under natural sunlight! I should take more selfies while it lasts haha. XD

Under the sunlight, it actually looks fierce. Purple with a hint of red :D

It's been two weeks now since I've had the touch-up & hair treatment and I'm happy to report that this colour lasted way longer than the previous purple! I'm entering the third week now and the brown roots are only just starting to show. But if it still continues to fade (which I believe it will), I'll just plan the next crazy colour I'm going to try out haha :p Also, I absolutely love the treatment they did! Usually hair treatments only lasts a few days for me, but this treatment has managed to keep my hair straight and smooth for the past two weeks, as if I've just gotten it styled.
