It's been awhile since I've updated the Rinn's 3CE Series! My last post was probably last year! I'm not really sure if 3 Concept Eyes is still popular with beauty addicts, but it is a nice brand with great products, so it's worth reading if you're looking to try out trendy Korean beauty products :) Here's my latest review on the 3CE Duo Color Face Blush!
The two-tone makeup trend isn't going away anytime soon. It's a fitting trend that mixes and matches different colours together for a contrasting & bright finish, summer is all about happy colours anyway! One of 3CE's debut products was this Duo Color Face Blush that comes in 5 colours. I have been eyeing this blusher for a long time, and I got mine in #Creme de Violette, thanks to BFFSays for sending it my way! You can read more about BFFsays website here and here.
With the 3CE Duo Color Face Blush, you can expect a contoured face and long-lasting radiant finish with this soft textured blusher. I love all the colour choices, they're either really bright and 'out-there' or you can expect softer pastel colours like this one. Some of the colour choices comes in darker shades too, suitable for contouring so you could say this is a two-in-one palette. You could customise your makeup by blending two complimenting colours together or use it on its own to achieve 2 different looks.
Creme de Violette comes in a peachy pale pink & soft lilac shade for a sweet lavender hue. Invigorate your skin with the smooth blend of pastel colours. This is a powder blusher that can be easily picked up with your fingers or blush brush.
The texture of the blusher is really smooth and pigmented that glides on smoothly. Notice that the colours look quite contrasting on my hand, but obviously you will not apply that much on your face so it does look similar on the cheeks.
I tried the two different colours on each side of my cheeks to see if there was a difference. It's interesting to try on the violet blusher on its own as I've never had a purplish shade blusher before. It isn't exactly wild, but it has a subtle difference. This colour is suitable for light makeup.
This soft pink colour is sweet and gives off a radiant glow. It's notable that the powder is so smooth and goes on easily with just a light pats. The colour is buildable and pink blushers suits more intense makeup.
After mixing the two colours together by swirling it with my brush, I noticed that the colour payoff is more intense but still looks natural at the same time. Overall, I think I'd prefer using both colours together than on its own.
What I love:
- Lovely colours and customisable, use it on its own or together
- Smooth and glides on easily
- Pigmented and buildable, just a few light swipes with a blush brush will do
- Comes in many lovely shades
- Long-lasting and doesn't cake up
- Leaves a natural glow
What I don't:
- Maybe just slightly high on the price point
