Haven't attended any media events in JB in awhile, but I'm proud to be one of the first few bloggers to be invited to BIKA Food's first ever Media Launching Party 2016! The main objective of the event was to introduce the first-ever scrumptious and healthy milk biscuit from Bika Food Sdn. Bhd. to the public.
I was honestly quite impressed by the setup of the venue, all done by CHIC PAVO Boutique Cafe. Everything looks so fun yet dreamy at the same time. The party was also set at night as an Iftar ceremony for the Muslim friends.
Most true-blue Malaysians would've heard of Bika at any point in their lives if they love snacking. Since its inception in 1979, Bika is committed to providing happy snacks for every special moment in life. Their first product, compressed tapioca chips (my fave!) has since become one of their most popular snacks that made Bika a local favourite since 1995. Bika has a strong commitment to nutrition, quality and food safety, using only the finest, ethically-sourced materials and producing their food with great care. All products are free from preservatives and harmful chemicals, certified HALAL and are safe to be consumed by Muslims.

Heh.. It's not very often that I bring my family along with me for events, but since my dad wasn't around, my mum and bro became my plus one(s) for the party! Oh, and spot how pretty the goodie boxes are!
Our host and emcee that night was my dear friend, Eryn! After dinner, we were introduced to the yummy new biscuits that Bika has to offer. According to them, Bika does not make "junk food", instead, they produce SNACKS! A snack is a portion of food smaller than a regular meal and snacking does not pose any immediate health concerns. In fact, it is generally safe to integrate snacking in between meals for a well-balanced diet. This is the main reason why Bika snacks are made into right serving sizes in portable packaging to encourage moderate healthy eating on-the-go. This ultimately also helps to reduce the number of people with dietary deficiencies within the population.
Bika Milk Biscuits are divided into two types - one with vitamins & minerals and the other with no artificial colour and preservatives. Both have equally high milk content as well as lower calories per biscuit and lower sugar & saturated fat content. The high barrier packaging material ensures the freshness and taste of the biscuits. The price starts from RM1 for a pack of 66g or 75g, making it one of the most affordable snacks ever!
Besides the Milk Biscuits, we were also introduced to Bika Little Bear Chocolate Biscuits which are delicious child-friendly teddy bear shaped biscuits that mothers too will appreciate for their quality. These chocolate biscuits are priced at RM0.30 (14g) and RM1.80 (100g), and again, it's really not too expensive for a healthy snack!
We were also entertained by a fashion show, organised by Chic Pavo. These lovely models are all donned in Chic Pavo's latest Baju Raya collection. So for my Muslim friends, you know where to go if you're looking for new apparels this Raya! ;)
