Travel: KL 4-days Shopping Trip.

FYI, typing speed has drastically reduced due to the injection I just got today- cervical cancer prevention. My  left arm hurts and I can't hold it up for a long time to type. I can't even lift it to wash my hair! Oh well. The bengkak-ness will go away in a few days, I hope.

Note: I think all 1993 girls should totally go get the free jabs given by the government this year! There are a total of 3 jabs to be taken, the other two taken one month after the first jab and 6 months after the first jab. According to the brochure, it says that all females are at risk. Side effects are normal brusing/ bengkak/ redness/ occassional fever, puking or headache. They'll make you stay in the clinic for 20 minutes after the jab to see if anything happens to you, like in case you get breathing difficulty, faint or die or something... choi. Remember to drink loads of water and have a good rest after the jab! I'm not 100% sure how the vaccine works but for those who are interested, you can check out http://www.lppkn.gov.my for location and injection details :)

So my first week of hols was pretty well spent, with the first few days spent with friends and the next four days with my family in KL. Love going to KL with my parents cos I don't even have to spend a cent to shop! :P Sis stayed back home alone to study for SPM, the poor soul. Gotta say, this trip was quite productive as I managed to (almost) get a new room to stay in next year. The location is good, about 5 minutes walk to uni and the facilities of the condo is pretty cool as well.

Basically, all we did everyday was eat, shop, drink beer. HAHAHA. As soon as we arrived, we straightaway detoured to Bukit Bintang. And never in my life have I stepped into Pavillion looking liike crap. No make up, nerdy specs adorn. Ish. At least I got a lot of winter clothes for the Japan trip from H&M, Uniqlo and Daiso! Only thing missing now are my boots.... Either too costly or there's no size available. WHY LAH!!! I think I spent the most during this trip though. Oops. :x

There was nothing interesting during this trip so I'll just post pics of stuff I took photos of. Dinner every night is more or less the same, with beer and.. more beer later on for supper.

Nyonya nasi lemak @ Luiz Cafe, pitstop at Jonker Walk, Melaka, for lunch. Super yums!

Would've gotten this if it was a size smaller :(
Wheeeeeeeee! <3.<3

Oh yeah, has anyone heard of the Mother Mary image formed on a window at the Subang Medical Center? My dad just HAD to drop by there to take a look. Pretty cool leh! Lotsa people go there everyday now to have a look. I guess even the guards are used to it haha.

Dad: Ada tu cermin...
Guard: /points. SITU.

There was a huge crowd there, what with people praying silently, praying with beads and praying with candles. Some even brought holy water and flowers! Couldn't snap a clear pic of the image with my 4S so dad got a girl to email us this photo taken with her DSLR.

LOOK LIKE MOTHER MARY ANOT?!

Ok more pics of food and my face now~

@ Brotzeit. Bacon pizza is AWESOME!

Saw this kid @ Publika. SO CUTE!
The Social duck platter.
I is a bunny.
Strongly recommend The Cup which sells packed Korean meals on-the-go in Publika!
PS: Am thinking of personalising and decorating my blog,  but I have no idea how to. Help?

Hey look, I'm Back!

HELLOOOOO JAYYYYY BEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Your girl is baaaaaccccckkkkk!!!!!

So excited to be back. It's pretty sad that throughout my whole year in uni, all I've been looking forward to was this 4 months break. I need it so, so badly. A huge break from all the assignments and exams.......

Don't ask me what I'll be doing these few months though. I have no idea. Mum wants me to get a part-time job. Any suggestions? :) Else I'll be too broke to meet up with anyone. *GASPSSSSS*

It was a weird 4-hour drive back with my friends.. who happen to be a couple... who... let's not talk about what they did in the car. XD It took me about 5 hours in total to pack most of my stuff like my clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, nail polish... man, I am a hoarder... into two luggages- one big and one small- and two bags! So proud of myself! :')

Before we left, we went around checking that we switched off everything and we had to sign this contract that shows we've done everything on the list to keep the house safe and if anything happens, we're liable for the damage. Quite cool. XD My friend told me to say goodbye to the apartment... Yeah, I did feel pretty sad leaving that place, especially my bedroom, cos I won't be living there next year anymore. Hmmm. Now I'll have to stress over finding a new accommodation! :O More on that later.

Yep, gonna miss them.

Last pic in our KL room! I'll miss roomie :)

We had A&W on the way back! Yay, root beer float cravings satisfied! Slept for so long in the car! And the best part of the whole journey was reaching home!

*********************************************************************************

It's been great so far! Good food, not having to spend a cent (teehee), lovely bed, cuddly soft toys and TV! I haven't watched TV in ages so I spent the whole morning watching cartoons with my brother. Even mopping floors doesn't seem much like a chore now... I lie. XD
Yesterday we went to JPO to shop for winter clothings! Too bad there wasn't much choices. Only bought a super cute earmuff and a shirt!

Hellooooo, Ted :)

Cute beanies that I really wanted to buy but they were for kids. :(

Dinner was great too, had the best or chien (fried oyster egg) in JB! Then went and catch up with some friends over a Kuay Teow Kia supper. Oh, how I've missed this food! And the feeling of being able to chat and laugh with everyone about everything and anything.... Man, I've missed that.
This is Kuay teow kia.. Best food in JB! :9

Being away made me realise how all these little simple things can make me feel so blessed. I'm genuinely happy to be back. :)

Adventure time! XD

Best adventure I've had in KL was last Thursday night. What a way to release stress after exams!

We've been waiting for weeks to visit Pasar Malam Taman Connaught, the longest night market in Malaysia. And trust me, all the other night markets you've ever been to is NOTHING compared to this. No wonder it's so packed and jammed every Wednesday night. So we left around 5.30pm and reached around 6.15pm. First thing we SMELT when we got down the car was the pungent smell of CHOU DOU FU! Super excited, cos the last time I had it was in Hong Kong five years ago! It smells bad from afar, like a mixture of rotten eggs and faeces LUL but when we were queuing up, it actually wasn't that bad. At 80 cents per piece, it's actually quite filling if you have like 4 each! Super duper good with the crispy batter outside and juicy fragrant tofu inside, especially with the chilli sauce and pickled cabbages. This is prolly like the only pic I took of among the food we ate there though........

Smelly yummy smelly tofuuuuuuu (Y)

And here's a photo of my sexy face eating it.

We had a lot of other foods like assam laksa, fried kuay teow, lime juice, tong yuen tau fu fa, gula melaka rice cakes, grilled squid, pork satay, prawn cakes, curry fishballs, passionfruit ai yu bing, Taiwan pizza, dragon beard candy, bing tang hu lu, etc! Damn why did I forget to take pictures... There were so many cheap and nice things to see! They even sold dog food and DOGS! Anyway, the night market was about 1km long and we only walked like 500m of it before it started raining heavily. Being the champions that we are, we decided to make a run for it to the car and ended up getting badly drenched.

And from there our 'adventure' started. I turned on my Waze GPS cos apparently we didn't know how to get home. But then there were too many conflicting opinions from everyone in the car so we ended up driving in conflicting directions and missing a lot of Bandar Sunway exits as a result. -_- Then we paid RM2.50 to enter the SMART Tunnel and ended up in KL city! LOOOOL. The girls wanted to drop by H&M since Bukit Bintang was so near but the guys glared at us. Sheesh. Imagine us going into H&M while dripping wet. XD We took a U-turn back.... but no one knew the way home. Still. And nobody was listening to the GPS lady!

So we decided to turn on the iPhone map....

But we got even more lost, ended up in some apartment place and drove around in the carpark until we found an exit..

When we finally left the place, the driver was complaining about not being able to see the humps on the road when.......

BOOM! We parked at the side and realised his tyre was punctured. -_- Actually punctured is an understatement, it BURST. XD

We panicked, but luckily there was a furniture shop ahead and a couple of people were parked in the shade changing their tyres too. So we parked there, the boys took half an hour to change the tyre while the girls went off to ask for directions. When we were done trying to fit the tyre into the boot, we continued driving and stopped to ask for directions again at a petrol station.

We finally reached home after 2 hours on the road. Could've went to Malacca...

All in all, it was a really cool and fun night, one of those unplanned adventures that you'll definitely remember. Would so love to go to the night market again, who wants to bring me?! XD Anyhooo here's pics of the snacks we brought home.

Expensive Bing Tang Hu Lu (caramel plums) for RM5 per stick  -_-

Dragon Beard candy! Long time no see!
Alright, that's about it. I'm not really sure my blogging skills are good enough to fully relate the cool night but hey, I'm trying!

New.

So I decided to start blogging again, to release all these crazy thoughts in my head. Trust me, if you lived in my head, it'll be a torture. Lol. Anyway this will be a public blog so I'll try to update it as much as possible with events in my life which are actually... suitable to be blogged.

Just closed a chapter of my life today. First year of University is over! But why do I not feel happy or relieved? Is it because of all the things that have been happening lately?

New. Change. Difference. All the words I've been pondering over lately. Hopefully I'll be able to learn more about myself and the people around me in this new chapter of life.

ps: Can't come up with a better blogname at the moment so...yeah XD bear with me!
