Contrary to popular belief, makeup removing is the MOST important step of your beauty routine. I have sensitive skin, so choosing a gentle makeup remover is essential for me. It has to get the job done without irritating the skin so micellar water is the way to go. Lately I’ve been seeing the Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Cleansing Water ads everywhere and I’m glad to finally get my hands on it. The packaging is simple enough – a clear bottle with the signature Garnier pink cap. This Micellar water comes in two variants in two different sizes each – Gentle (pink cap) and Oil Control (blue cap).

This all-in-one multi-purpose product containing Micellar technology is a remover + cleanser that is surprisingly powerful yet gentle to the skin. It effectively removes makeup while leaving the skin cleansed and refreshed. Like a magnet, micelles capture and lift away dirt, oil and makeup without the need for rinsing or harsh rubbing. In fact, it claims that makeup can be removed in just one gentle touch! The result? Perfectly clean and hydrated skin without over-drying!

The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water can be used to remove eyes, lips and face makeup. To remove eye makeup, hold a soaked cotton pad over closed eyes for a few seconds, then gently wipe off your makeup. I promise you, it’s that simple! It works well even on waterproof mascara!

For the face, soak a cotton pad in Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and gently wipe all over the skin in an outwards and upwards motion until the skin is completely clean from impurities. You can use it daily without needing to rinse your face after. 

This isn’t a full face of heavy makeup, but basically my daily makeup. I used about 2 full cotton pads to clean the left side of my face and 1 cotton pad for one eye, quite effective huh! Makeup removing is such a breeze now because Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water lifts any impurities easily. Although the product does claim that no rinsing is needed, I do recommend practicing double cleansing so I always wash my face with a regular cleanser after that to really get rid of any gunk.

The main thing I like about this is the fact that the micellar water is odourless and doesn’t leave my face feeling sticky, greasy or dry afterwards. My skin even feels soft after cleansing, so far I really can’t find anything that I dislike about the product. Did I mention that it’s super super affordable as well? One 300ml bottle is only less than RM30.00 and should last you about 1 – 2 months if you apply makeup daily like me. Perhaps I should try it on heavier eye makeup and get back to you guys on that! I also have a small bottle of the blue version, which I believe does the job just as well. In the meantime, I definitely recommend this product to anyone with sensitive skin like me!
